I've got an AVI in 2 parts encoded with Xvid. Audio / Video play just fine on my machine with VLC, but I tried to burn it to a DVD last night and I don't have any audio.

The video plays fine in my standalone player (LiteOn LVW-1101HC1 DVD Recorder), but wont recognize on my Powerbook, and I have no sound on the disc.

I used Toast 7.0.2, Video Tab -> DVD-Video, and it encoded/burned/verified over night.

Any thoughts?

download vso DivXtoDVD and vso CopyToDVD then open up copydvd, make video dvd, then a message comes up asking if you want DivXtoDVD to encode, do this and then it will encode and burn. Hasn't failed me once.

As to joining multiple avi's i haven't come across it, soz i cant be of much help.

um.. I appreciate the effort, but I did post this in the Mac forum, mostly because I use a Mac. The software you've suggested is Windows only unless I'm missing something.

Cheers

you should be able to use ffmpegx to join the two files.. and then toast would convert to dvd.
