I have been trying to convert avi files to dvd for a few days and I tried using avitodvd last night.

The movie I wanted to convert was split in 2 so I followed one of the guides on here. I added both files and woke up this morning to find 1 dvd image for the second part and nothing that I can find for the first part.

In the file for the first part all I find is

1 encoded video file 19 kb
avisynth script file 1 kb ?????
audio stream 171 2297 kb
besweet audio stream 2kb

what did I do wrong

have you got a link to the guide you used?

do you still have the original AVI files?

can you download avicodec, run the 1st file through it and post your results and then do the same for the 2nd file?

thanx for the suggestion

I figured out I was missing a codec so I did a search and found it, then I converted it again with avitodvd and it worked fine .

cool, avicodec will also anaysis your files and suggest the codecs you need to play the files.Pretty handy tool to have.This time you dont need it but next time who knows
