Hi,
I have just bought a new dual layer burner due to the fact that so many of my movies become coasters with DVDShrink even when using the best TY original discs and of course the discs never show their flaws until the last couple of chapters and before you all start writing with your solutions I have tried everything.
Anyway, my question this time round is "What is the best dual layer maedia" because i have hunted and it doesnt look like TY make the dual layer media yet.
Thanks,
Doug.

Verbatim is well regarded in the DLayer camp. Rip to ISO and burn with IMGBurn is my recommendation.

I've used Ridata DLs and they play perfectly on my JVC player but I've had a few pixelation issues on my hyper sensitive Sony.

I had a small amount of Fuji's but i've yet to try them out.

TY will most likely NOT be producing any DL media, at least that is what they have told me for the near future~ :)

i have also had great success with the Verbatim DVD+R DLs, made in singapore, along with the Ridata Ritek DVD+R DLs, made in taiwan...both media IDs are in my sig...those are the only 2 i have used, so, i can't comment on all the other ones...

good luck...

i get my Verbatims locally, usually Best Buy/Office Max or whoever has them on sale at the time....

going price is about $20 for a 10-pack spindle, making them about $2 U.S. dollars each~ :)

i get the Ridata Ritek DVD+R DLs online, from various online retailers, whichever has the lowest price at the time...last time, i bought them from newegg.com, during their "weekend sale", it was like $40-$45 for a 25-pack w/ free shipping during their promotion over the weekend. :)

hope that helps

Right now, NOTHING compares to the Verbatim DVD+R DL discs ... I wouldn'i waste my money on the others (and, believe me, I've used them all) at any price ... Watch the ads at Office Max and Best Buy (like Doc said) you'll find them on sale quite often ...
