Hi,
I want to watch my downloaded anime avi files on TV, so i used Divxtodvd to rip all 13 episodes into DVD files(VOB, BUP, IFO), and then shrunk them with dvd shrink, and used nero to burn them onto a dvd-r. the problem is that the videos are too big to fit on the tv, so that the sides and top and bottom are cut off, and i cant read the subtitles. I tried making them into either PAL or NTSC, with the same results. The aspect ratio I seleted was 4:3(TV Size), so I dont know what the problem is.

Can any1 please help?

I also noticed...
The original avi files are 640x480, with a framerate of 23fps(after right-clicking on them and viewing properties), but after I converted them to VOB files and opened them with windows media player classic, and viewed propertied again, it shows 720x540.

Give this a try. Try re-compiling NTSC @ 16:9 and adjust your resolution to something that closely matches your current res? then just zoom your dvd player to your liking?

Use tmpgenc plus 2.5.When preparing the avi file click on other settings, advanced, video arrange method, and put center(custom size), and make the file 680x440. It should look just about right for the 4:3 tv.

Try WINAVI video conveter it can encode 13 anime at one go and took about 2 hours or less with very good quality result.I have try using TMPEG 2.5 it takes 10+ of hours to convert 13 episode of anime and you must encode one episode at a time.

Try WINAVI video converter it can encode 13 or more episode at one go, fast encoding takes about less than 2 hours to encode 13 episode anime to DVD or MPEG 2 with high quality. You can custormize the quality and resolution 4:3,16:9 or auto.

THIS IS MY GUIDE. Software-use:WINAVI, DVD Shrink & DVD Decrypter.

First, use WINAVI to convert file,my suggestion is using auto for the resolution because i have try it and set the quality to high or highest (if you have more hardisk space) be sure to have at least 10 gig of free space. After finish encoding use the DVD SHIRNK program to shrink the files to fit on one DVD-R and convert it to iso and burn using DVD Decrypter by using the iso-write function, speed-burning 1x.There' you go a complete dvd-anime.
