My brother game me this recorder. It came with the dreaded U99 error message. I've been reading the threads for several days and am confused. No matter what I do it seems to end up with please wait.... self check then U99. I did get the time to reset to flashing 12: am. Also new is a message - (missed this) * L1. What should I do next? I'm not a tech but I guess I can try putting in a new hard drive. (Gotta get one to try)
