I am using dvd shrink 3.2 and TRYING to burn with dvd decypter but when it goes to burn i recieve this message

I/O Error!

Interpretation: Check Condition

Interpretation: Invalid Field in Parameter List
Can someone PLEASE get back to me with any helpful ideas.

Start with making sure your firmware is up to date as LOCOENG suggested.
This error can be caused by a few differnt things - let's start with the easy ones first.
Next to try:
*no multi tasking - shutdown all processes possible
*make sure your in dma mode - here's a link if needed:
http://home.comcast.net/~bbmayo/checking%20DMA.pdf *change your media if using poor media like Memorex, Princo, no name or store brand. Use Taiyo Yuden or verbatim, Fuji, Sony (last 2 buying instore look for made in japan)
*if your burning higher than 4x - try 4x or lower.
If these don't work let us know - few more things to try- but also let us know if it does work out too!

I don't know what firmwire is... can someone help me out with that? that site said i could destroy my burner, so I am alittle hesitant about the download. here is my log from decrypter...

thats a bunch of giberish to me. Im glad someone knows what they are doing. I just want to be able to burn like the rest of the world! lol thanks for all of your help guys.
Current firmware is UYS2, and yes you can fry your drive with a bad flash, so it is to your own discretion whether or not you flash your drive. Many ppl do it and have no problems, there should be a nfo or readme file that comes with the download that will tell you what and what not to do and any precautions to be taken.
As Binkie said try the easiest and cheapest options first. Ritek's haven't been the best as of late, maybe try one of the brands that Binkie suggested.
