i have heard a rumor that with a certain mod-chip,you can play ps2 formated games!!!!!
i need to confirm that this is not a fluke.
somebody,let me notify me about this news,if it is real or not.

Iv never heard of 1. I dont think the Xbox HardWear would bebale to run it anyway. Hell I have a PS1 emulator on my Xbox and that hardly works.

short answer: no, anand, it's total BS. there will NEVER be a functioning ps2 emulator for the original xbox. if you want all the reasons, you'll have to do the research.

So he would've had to update practically everything in his console, making it a super xbox.
And the cost to do this would be more than the cost to just buy a ps2. How smart of him.

I dont use it since it is crap. I have played a few games that dont take much to run it. But games like shooter games or GT games for the PS1 load. But they skip and lag and dont play right.

I called up Bill Gates he is a good friend of mine and he wants to know where your friend got this done at. He said he would love to turn his Xbox into a PS2 as well. He likes thier Technology better.

Just to relive those short-lasted memories of my ps1 would be the real reason for me wanting the ps1 emulator, and to show off a bit, but mainly to relive those short lived moments.
Glitched, do you actually have proof that your friend has a ps2 emulator running on his xbox, can he show it to you?? I won't believe it until i see it because I have a p4 3.0gig processor with 1024meg ram and a geforce 6600 that runs a ps2 emulator which is soo slow and has graphics not worthy of a ps1 running (barely)!

I guess it could be possible. All you would have to really do is Airbrush over the Xbox logo's and then replace them with PS2.

I'm not a console expert (regards PS2 or GameCube), but the last time I checked, you cannot play PS2 games on an Xbox, chipped or not, and vice versa. The thing is, the two systems are running on 2 completely different architectures. Xbox's OS is a stripped down version of Windows 2000, and PS2's OS is Linux. Now, you cannot run Linux software on Windows without porting it, if I'm not mistaken.

I actully played my PS2 on my Xbox!!!!!!!!!!
This is how you do it.
1. place the Xbox on the floor
2. now place your PS2 ontop of your Xbox.
It works great. Iv been playing PS2 on my Xbox all day long!
