I have Macromedia Flash Player 8 but I have tried to use real arcade and when I try to play certain games it tells me to download Version 6 or newer I have no idea how to correct the problem

I guess you have xp ? go to control panel, add remove programs and see if macromedia is listed. DL the latest copy of Macromedia. Uninstall Macromedia , reboot and reinstall the latest Macromedis flash player.

I tried this method but every time I go to download all I get is the screen with a little x in the corner but nothing after thta and all the time I get a grey box that asks to install but it never does

in internet explorer, go to tools / internet options / advanced ( restore defaults)/ then security ( highlight internet and set the slider to the most min security ). you will have to set the security back up later. After each tab , click apply / ok. this may do it.

I still get the red x I have FireFox and the flash works fine but does not register with internet explorer or real arcade I am sorry for the inconvenience anymore help will continually be appreciated
