How are you guys keeping a record of what you have on DVD's as movies, and how are you displaying them so it easy to find what you are looking for?
I have cases for DVD's, I was thinking of a spread sheet to list the movies, using the alphabet letters on each one to correspond with title and whats on the spread sheet. (Color Of Money) A (Jackie Brown) B and so on.
Next stack them on the shelf, not sure how to store for easy access.
check out my collection...... it's in DVD Profiler...... I use that program every time I add a DVD and I can add a comment to it telling me where the disk is! I have two cases so far filled with DVDs: http://www.supermediastore.com/cd-dvd-storage-case-aluminum-metal... my brother bought a carracell type of CD/DVD holder that will piggy back and be tied into eachother through usb and all you do is type in a title and it pops out! but who wants to spend $80.00 for 150 storage ...... I would need 6 or more of them!!!!! FOR NOW! Two cases for me will hold 1200 at a price of $57.50 each and I'll pick them out myself! hahahaha
As for display, I have a cabinet with shelves for storing the DVDs in cases, you can get fancy and put labels in the cases to make them look like an original. You can get DVD cases in bulk on eBay. Many of us suggest just a marker to label discs. They're either in the case or in the player and stick on labels can be a real problem at times. Then I have some folders with sheets with pockets for storing a bunch of DVDs, not good for long term storage unless you set them on end to prevent bending pressure on the discs.
Very nice collection I would like to do the same thing where do I find a link as to what you are useing, to list your collection , the cases that you mentioned looked great also.

ECT excel spread sheet.. I use a CD Album each holds 225 and I got 4 of them..
Microsoft Access, able to sort by genre, rating, title, and stars, if you choose to add data fields for each particular movie. The problem is finding the movies in one of five DVD cases... am definitely lookijng for a better way to store them.
Like the library. Give the case a letter and the DVD a number. Then in your inventory list, put in the letter and number. Put the number on the DVD box so as to be visible and then you can easily find the DVD from the list.
that's what I do Brobear! It's all in DVD Profiler and I put the box #, #of disk and bingo...... instint access to all my movies that I want from my list in Profiler!
