Long story short I downloaded a movie, copied the VOB etc. files to the dvd and after tyring the movie in my dvd player it came up as PAL format. What is the easiest way for me to convert the movie to NTSC format with the dvd ready video files (in the VIDEO TS folder)?
How about when I am dealing with .bin/.cue files? I have a variety of PAL to NTSC conversion programs to try out now, but none seem to recognize the format to open it up.
.bin/.cue files are something totally different. They are a form of an ISO file, and are actually complete images of a directory.
These types of downloads are usually a VCD or SVCD (meant to be burned on a CD).
To open them, you would need something like ISOBuster (pay for program) or VCDGear (free). You then extract the MPG or DAT file and convert it with Nero. Note: if it's a DAT file you can rename the extension to mpg without many problems. To start out with, I would recommend VCDGear as it does the conversions to mpg automatically.
