Ar MAX (Original Copy) doesn't work with Swap Magic 3.6?

What I have:
Action Replay Max Evo Edition w/ 16MB USB Drive (Original, Not A Back-Up)
Swap Magic 3.6 w/ slide card
Great Quality Media DVD-R for Back-UP G@mes (Sony DVD-R)
My Problem: Red Screen of DEATH!!!?????
Step1) I turn on my PS2 with USB Drive and AR MAX already in.
Step2) AR MAX starts up. I go to expert mode.
Step3) I choose the code(s) I want and insert Swap Magic 3.6 when it says "Please make sure you have Game Disc Inserted"
Step4) I "Start games with X amount of codes" and goes to AR MAX "Loading Game..." screen
Step5) Swap Magic 3.6 starts up, I insert Back-Up G@me with slide card and press X on "Load Program"
Step6) Screen goes blank for about 2 seconds, shows the "Browser" screen for about half a seconds AND THEN I GET THE AWESOME RED SCREEN OF DEATH!!! "Please Insert Playstation 2 Game" or something like that.
What I have tried to do......
DVD LOADER METHOD: Failed
CD LOADER METHOD: Failed
Trying 1 codes at a Time: Failed
Removing USB @ AR MAX "Loading Game..." Screen: Failed
Removing Memory Card from Playstation 2 before powering on and trying all of the above: Failed
If anybody else had this same problem and resolved it, Please inform me of the resolution! I would greatly appreciate it.

This sounds like your back up game(DVD) does not burn properly. Try using a quality dvd media (dvd-r) and burn atleast 4x. That should do the trick.

O, sorry, u do have a quality media :) Make sure you know how to back up a ps2 game properly. U can search this forum on how to back up ur ps2 games.
If this don't help, try cleaning ur lens or geta new one.

sorry about your problem, i don't know anything about that, but do you know anything about backingup the AR Max disc, with Alcohol 120% i just get
disc read error at: 35
disc read error at: 36
disc read error at: 37

thanks stammah,
i used clone CD and successfully backed up AR Max.
i'm now having the red screen of death thing going on. My backups play fine using swapmagic 3.6 with out AR Max, but i get the same problems as the first guy. anyone figure out the problems here, or any good theards for this problem.

ok i figured out the pull the memory card out at the launching game screen of AR Max, but my backup of AR Max only boots 50% of the time and that's generous. i end up turning my console on and off quite a few times before my swap magic3.6 CD-Rom disc will boot it. should i try burning s different speed? i burned 2x and 4x, both seem to have the same problem and tried flipping the power in the back off before re-booting.

lol. there is no way you can use ar max with any swap magic by itself. you MUST have and use the dvd loader for it to work. here is how to do it:
Cheat Device > Swap Magic > DVD Loader > Swap Magic > Game
dont ask me where to dl dvd loader. google is your friend!

MAke sure The Action Replay is the same region with the Game, and the Swap MAgic. I have a way to play Action Replay, But it be for "Intermiediate" Burner's. Check My Sig for more info (Profile)
