There are several ways you can go. If you go to the Guides at the top of the page it will take you to about 5 different guides.

I used DVD Shrink for the movie Wedding Crashers using no compression mode and it burned fine with the Nero burning engine, but after inserting the dl disc into my DVD player, it didnt go directly to the menu and feature section. After pressing play on the remote the movie played about half way through and then suddenly stopped.

Is Shrink the appropriate program to copy dual layered disc?or maybe Shrink and AnyDVD together?

Id sure appreciate anyones help!

For backing up movie(s) into DL media or 1:1 copy, I'll have to say DVD Decrypter via Mode, ISO, Read, then once it's done, Mode, ISO, Write is the best.

Just a side note here, get the Verbatim DVD+R DL (made in singapore). For DL media, the Verbs remains the top dog at the moment.
