Greets,
I am having a bit a trouble with a couple avi files that I have, I am trying to convert them to dvd format to burn them. I am using the avi decompressor to avoid the problem of the a/v being out of sync. After that is done, I use div2dvd to convert the file to dvd format. Problem is on avi2dvd when it gets to about 60% done it just hangs up, I have to restart the laptop, but I can just close from Task Manager on desktop. I thought this might be a problem with the decompressed file, so I tried it w/o decompressing and had the same results, this has happened on this file 3 times now, I have tried twice on my laptop, and once on my desktop.
I also tried to do the conversion with NVE, while it said the process completely successfully the a/v was out of sync about halfway through. I am not sure if this is a hardware problem or not, I will post the specs of my desktop and laptop, though I have used them both for all the other movies that I have burned and had hardly any trouble. When I use NVE I choose to write it to the HD because I am currently out of blanks (would this make a difference?)
