branded or unbranded?
When evolution selects its agents, it does so at a cost, makes demands in exchange for singularity, and you may be asked to do something against your very nature. This force, evolution, is not sentimental. Like the Earth itself, it knows only the hard facts of life's struggle with death. All you can do is hope and trust that when you have served its needs faithfully, there may still remain some glimmer of the life you once knew.

Typical Taiyo Yuden discs are unbranded "shiney silver top". Meaning, they're completely blank on both surfaces.
Branded Taiyo Yuden discs would be like a made in Japan Sony 8x DVD+R since it has the Sony brand name printed on the top of the disc.
dig?

the ones from supermediastore are NOT "branded", as i think what Jallan meant to ask you was whether or not you wanted actual Taiyo Yuden discs, but under the Fuji/Sony label or branding~ :)
there are a few other companies that use Taiyo Yuden as their manufacturer, but if purchasing online, most reputable places sell Taiyo Yuden media either in 50-pack spindles or 100 pack tape wrap spindles...examples being: supermediastore, rima, newegg, meritline, shop4tech, etc...
these are all "UNBRANDED" meaning the top surface is either silver shiny or thermal lacquer finish, by "branded" most people are referring to either Fuji or Sony found in local stores that in 8x DVD+R MADE IN JAPANs, are in fact Taiyo Yuden produced discs...these discs found locally will naturally have the Fujifilm or Sony logo or "branding" found on the top side...
and even the inkjet printable TYs are "unbranded" as well, and you have your choice of either white inkjet hub printable or silver non-hub printables made by Taiyo Yuden~ :)

Great idea docTY... but I might want to title the book:
101 things you don't want to do with TY media...
example:
Offer your silver reflective TY media to your girlfriend after suggesting that she needs to remove that nose hair that's been driving you crazy! <G>
You can however use your silver reflective TY media to view the bruises received by suggesting the above!
