I tried using HMT 3.5 and it just says that the maps aren't valid halo map files!

Wait so your trying to skin Halo 2? If so all you need is the .map files, DotHalo, and Adobe Photoshop. Then if you need some help just instant message me at XxFuZ3xX.

ok i have figured out skinning by myself and i am about to post my first public mod!

ill give a quik tut:

go onto dothalo and open up your map, then go onto bitmaps and scroll down to the scenarios section and click on the bitmap you want to edit then click extract bitmap get .dds plugin for photoshop install it and edit as much as you want then save the file as a .dds file and then inject it into your map. also you need to look at the raw data editor for the format eg dxt1 and then save it it as the same format other wise dothalo wont accept it.

I can help you with a very easy way to skin weapons if you want. Just a simple way around adobe photoshop. Make some cool looking guns.

i really want to skin weapons but i dont have shared.map and my xbox isn't compatible with taking files off a cd.
and i used to use the auto installer but it nearly broke my xbox so i deleted it. so i guess ill always be a modder with mods that could be better. :( :( :(
