Hey I was wondering what is the best site with the cheapest 100-pack of Verbatim DVD+R's? At SuperMediaStore they are $52. Also this may sound stupid but it also says "White Inkjet printable" what does that mean? I mean I'm guessing it means that you can write with a marker on the top of them, but I've never had any dvd's or cd's in which you couldn't do that, so why do they mention it? thanks.

White InkJet Printable discs are ones where you can print a lable directly onto the disc however you need a printer which has the capacity to do so.
If you check out the media forum you may get your other answer.

rima.com has them as well. I am sure that you will find that all three sites are pretty close in price... Don't forget to factor in shipping costs... Too bad you can't find the hub printables in brick & mortar.

Meritline sells a lot of Verbatim media. Sometimes they even have a sale. http://search.store.yahoo.com/cgi-bin/nsearch?query=Verbatim+medi...
Since Verbatim sells media manufactured by different manufacturers, I'm curious about the manufacturer codes. Can those of you who bought Verbatim check the disc for the manufacturer code and post it here? Freeware that will check it are DVDInfoPro and DVD Identifier. Nero DVD CD Speed will give it in Disc Info. Plextools lists the info as well.

That's the important block of info. The top line here tells who the manufacturer is. MCC is the abbreviation for Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation. MCC is one of the top manufacturers of quality recordable DVD media.

I've bought the non-hub printables (16X +R) from Sam's and the hub printables (8X +R datalifeplus) from NewEgg and both were MCC-coded...

Taiyo Yuden and Ricoh have made some of the Verbatim as well. CMC is the one in the mix that I'm leery of.
