I was going to purchase a network adapter for my PS2, but the one I was going to get is used and does not come with the start-up disk. I've got two questions regarding the adapter...

First, is there any way to get the Network Adapter set up and working without the start up disk?

Second, if not, can the start up disk be downloaded somewhere and burned to a CD? If so I was thinking maybe I could start up the CD using my Swap Magic?

Any help would be great! Thanks

When your playing online there should be a an option that lets you set up an internet connection without a disk.

ps3 with 20gb hard drive

xbox 360 premium edtion with vga/hd hook up to my dell 20.1 inch widescreen lcd.

White and black 1.5 psp's

I'll take this down WHEN micro$oft decides to stop being lazy and make the capcom fighting games backwards compatible with the 360 dammit!!!

I had heard that only works with some games and not all of them. Any truth to that? I'd probably be playing mostly sports games online like MVP Baseball and NBA Live. Also...would I then have to set up the connection each time the game was started, or would setting it up once mean it was good to go? Thanks for your help...I'm new to setting up the PS2 online.

you set it up once and it saves the settings to the mem card, then for each game you just choose that saved setting.

NTSC DNAS threads.

I set up my Network Adapter with my PS2 and tried what you said. I tried setting up the Network connection through a game (Madden 2005). The setup went ok and I tried the "test connection" option. It said the test was successful. I then tried to get online with the game and it said "connecting to the ISP" then it went to the DNAS screen. It attempted to authenticate the DNAS but then it said it was failed!! At first I tried it with the backup disk of Madden 2005 which was DNAS patched...but then I tried it with the actual copy of Madden 2005 and it STILL failed !!! PLEASE HELP!!!

I'm using my school's LAN to connect so I thought that could be the problem...but when the "test connection" resulted in a successful test I figured that wasn't the problem. HELP ME!
