6230i - are they making them unlockable now??

both sites gave me THE SAME codes:

none of them work (get 'code error')

i tried to enter a foreign sim (so i could get the 'undo' option) and instead it asks me for a pin/puk code. at this stage i am unable to enter the characters '#+'

i enter the pin code [evewn though it was never enabled], but it STILL wont let me past (i even reset the pin, set a new one, and it still wont let me past the pin prompt..)


i got this 6230i as an upgrade from o2 (UK) on 05/01/06. is there something going on with this new batch of phones????
