I was wondering if anyone had a dvd r movie that they had copied from another dvd, doesn't matter which movie. I want to test my dvd player for compatibility but i do not know anyone that has a dvd burner.

If you have a movie you could let me borrow ( i would return it promptly ) I would appreciate the help.

email me @ XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Also if you can recommend good software to just straight copy dvd's that would be cool too. I really want to back up my stuff.

dvdxcopy to do a straight copy from dvd to dvd-r if under 4.36gig and seperates the movie into 2 dvd-r if over 4.36gig. Yes I have done that I have backed up a dvd-r to a dvd-r to see if it could be done then trashed it (was an experiment) I use recordnow max with a pioneer ao4

I see that leo8013 has used DVDxcopy to make a backup copy of a DVD, but would this work on an original DVD that is copyright protected and over 6GB - if yes would it still seperate the movie and all the features on to two discs

Thanks

Thanks,
I've got some more questions. For an original copyrighted DVD that is 7.6GB - does DVDxcopy automatically setperate it into two discs. I have a Ricoh DVD+RW/+R does it matter if I used DVD+R or DVD+RW to backup original DVD's. and you say you use recordnow - does this do the same and what do you prefer and why
Thanks

you can use either it doesnt matter. also just for future info you can backup an entire movie with extra's to one dvd-r,dvd+r as well. just to clearify something. I did not use dvdx to backup a copied dvd. I only did that on an original movie. If you have a disc that is already copied all you have to do is use the disc to disc option on recordnow max.

WTF does this have to do with DVD-R Media Quality? Post to correct forums.
