i have purchesed 2 online hardware packs and i still couldent get online i return those and got my money back and i now have a datel go-net which i got for free but it has no disc i have one of the very frist versions of ps2 its also modded can i play online if i can what can i do and how should i do it

more info would help... how could you not get online when you got those hardware packs? were you using backups or originals? would it give you a dnas error? actually what are hardware packs do you mean network adapter?

i do mean the "network adapter" thats just it i get a dns error i tired with original and with backups

ok for the originals you have to turn the mod off in order to get online. For the backups you have to patch them with a dnas ID. Search in the forums there's a few threads on how to patch the backups. As far as not having a disc you can always setup network settings through any online game (provided that game supports the go-net 'cause from what I remember not all games support 3rd party adapters)

Yeah there isn't much you can do until you find out what chip you have. Contact the person who installed it and see if they can tell you.
