I'm trying to make a one to one copy using nero 6.6.0.15 of another GC copy. The media I'm using is taiyo yuden. My question - Is it possible to make a one to one copy? If you can... What setup are you guys using..(i.e burning program, firmware, media type?) I also want to note that the copy that I want to back up work perfectly and the media brand is also TY. So I know for sure it can't be the laser since its playing the copy fine. Thanks for reading.

The ONLY way to make a backup of a gamecube game is to stream it from the gamecube to a PC. There is simply no other known way. Period.

I think I didn't make myself clear.... I'm trying to make an exact copy of another copy game. The copy GC game is also on taiyo yuden media. It works fine on my Xeno GC. But everytime I make 1 to 1 copy it doesn't even load... bunch of DRE!!!

i dont think u can make 1:1 copy's on gamecube

even if u try copy a copy it is written in a certain way which PC's cant read

the way i get around this problem is i back up all my zipped games (most of them are zipped small, then open big) on a few 4.7 disc's

then when i need them just dump it onto my harddrive and burn the iso

was that ure question??

He's saying he's tyring to make a backup of a backup, not an original GC game, but it's not working.

Is there any other software that works with mini-DVD-Rs he could try?

Is BlindWrite worth a go?

XD

Regardless of whether you use a back-up or original, PC DVD drives won't be able to read GC discs. Therefore, you can't copy them with Nero. Same idea applies to Xbox games.

Streaming is your only option.

Maybe one day it will be possible if this program development is actually real. Its hard to believe team exodus is actually coding this because of the geocities site.
