Hi,

I have a V9 PS2 here that belongs to my nephew. They have a problem where it comes to loading the disc... it comes up with the initial startup thing (the circle spinning around), then it all goes black and turns back to browser screen (where you can choose between the memory card and ps2 disc).

I DON'T get the disc read error screen it just goes black and goes back to the browser screen. Does anyone know what this problem might be. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

What games are you playing? Blue bottomed discs or Golden Bottomed?

Any game goes to the browser. Doesn't matter what colour bottom it has.

If it cant run audio CDs or DVDs then the lens is either dirty or dead.
