Hello,
Okay I HAVE searched for this and I havent found any real solution so I'm starting this thread. Ive managed to make a working copy of SW Battlefront 2 (NTSC). I used a guide on the forums that involved rebuilding the ISO of the game and then modifying the system file with notepad so that the video could play properly. This is what the system file looks like after i changed it:

BOOT2 = cdrom0:\SWBFRNT2.ELF;1
VER = 1.01
VMODE = NTSC

I did that then i burnt the game and it works fine. I even injected the DNAS id properly using WinDIP so that I could play online. I know my network settings are fine because they work with every other game I have. The problem is, i keep getting the error: "Dnas error (-832) an authentication error has occured" when I try to connect via the internet in the game.

Could it be that im using the wrong DNAS ID. Ive noticed there are two different ones floating around for SWBF2. I injected the ID "xx xx 09 30 BC" (Yes, I replaced the x's). The alternative is "xx xx 02 30 BC". how can i find out if i used the wrong one?

Also, could it be that I cant play the game online due to the fact that i changed the system file in order to rectify the video playback problem? is it absoutely necessary to do that in the first place?

In short, is there a way to have a working copy of SWBF2 with working video playback (and everything else) and online playability at the same time?

I'm guessing you edited the video mode 'cause you live in a different region than what the game is? 'cause that could be the reason why you can't get online, If you use a wrong region game then you can't get online (eg. can't go online with a PAL game using an NTSC machine) but usually that gives an 833 error.

my game is NTSC and im on an NTSC Playstation 2. Thats not the issue. When I edited the system file to fix the video I was referring to the problem talked about in this thread: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/282826

I fixed that problem just fine. I just cant get it online now and I wonder if its because of this.

i also have backed up swbf2 & works fine, i rebuilt it & patched it 4 online but cant get online due to an dnas "Dnas error (-201) an authentication error has occured"
i have used 4 differnt types of dnas codes & still no luck, i'am on a PAL ps2 with a PAL swbf2 game, ive tryed all the rebuild tricks going on this subject.

any help would be great, its doing my head reet in :(

yeah. I completely doubt no one has been able to make a perfectly working copy of this game (including online play and video playback).
