I have a Comcast DVR, Roxio Easy Media Creator 8,USB Cable and Firewire cable. I am wondering if it is possible to transfer recorded shows from the DVR to my laptop. I am using windows XP. any help would be appreciated greatly.

ya i would like to know this too I am with time warner cable and have an scientific atlanta explorer 8300 Digital DVR cable box. I want to put the recorded shows on DVD.

It appears the only way to transfer the recordings to your computer would be the same way as recording to a VCR. You will have to have a video capture.tuner card on your PC and record it in realtime as if you were transfering it to a tape.
