I got a softmod gone bad and I was wondering how to fix it. Someone said that if I got the slayer disk and put it into my xbox dvd drive it would load up the screen and then I would be able to reinstall my dash and softmod. But I can't get the slayer disk onto a dvd. So can I use the slayer disk or not and if i can how do i get it onto a dvd.

That person that told you this is wrong... I just got this error the other day and I know for a fact that a burned disc wont work. What you need to do is put your game back in that you used to softmod w/. Hopefully you created a ms backup...if not, lemme know and I can help you with that problem. Assuming you did do a ms backup as suggested in nearly all tutorials for softmodding, just load your game up (I used splinter cell to softmod...but it could be that or 007 or mechassault) and then load up the linux file like you did to install the softmod. Go to restore ms dash. It will restore and your xbox will be back to what it was b4 you softmodded. Then if you wanted to retry it, then you can do that too. But...just so you dont screw up again, follow a softmodding tutorial at www.se7ensins.com cuz they are explained much better there.

Well being the stupid person that i am i deleted that linux file off my xbox to make room for halo 2 which didn't have enough space to fit.

Well...you might just be screwed then man... I guess you can try slayers or even AID 2.11 to get it back...but I really dont think you can do anything now. And plus...those linux files were only 8 mb at most...why would you delete them... meh...oh well, all said and done now.

POP in a new game and download Content, it will give you the newest Dash I Think, there are also DVD's like KING ARTHUR or ROBOTS(search XBOX RESCUE DISCS for more info)
