just to add, yes, it's Mitsubishi Chemicals Corp that manufacturers the media...hence the "MCC" coding...the "004" just distinguishes this media to be 16x rated DVD+R, while the "003" is the 8x rated one in the DVD+R format~ :0
yes they are reliable...MIT will most likely be the country of origin for like 95%+ of these 16x rated DVD+R Verbs. you should be just fine assuming everything else in your burning setup is done properly~ :)

my proverbial copy/paste is due here....
Quote: MCC are top quality manufacturers. MCC (Mitsubishi Chemicals Corporation) is the parent company of MKM (Mitsubishi Kagaku Media), which in turn is the parent company of Verbatim.

Verbs are MIT for the most part. No MIJ for quite a while. Look closely at package labeling for site of manufacturer.

I get BETTER scores using VERBATIM MMC aka MIT then VERBATIM TY
aka MIJ when using my NECs...
I'm stuck with 10x50's of MII
