Hi guys and gals. I know I havent posted alot, but Ive been lurking here for a long time, and have always found the info extremely useful.
I was so excited tonight successfully burning both The Fog and Flightplan, that with my dvd tray open, I wound up kicking and snapping off the tray. This was an AOpen DUW1608.....sadly, it burned its last DVD.
So, with the advent of the newest tewchnology, any suggestions for in internal DVD Burner.....one that wont cost an arm and a leg and can cut thru allof the current codings?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
When evolution selects its agents, it does so at a cost, makes demands in exchange for singularity, and you may be asked to do something against your very nature. This force, evolution, is not sentimental. Like the Earth itself, it knows only the hard facts of life's struggle with death. All you can do is hope and trust that when you have served its needs faithfully, there may still remain some glimmer of the life you once knew.
Dell GX240 P4 1.8ghz, 768mb PC133
Western Digital 250gb 7200rpm
Western Digital 250gb 7200rpm
Visiontek 9600xt 256mb
BenQ DW1640 (BSOB), LITEON LTD163 (GH5S-D)
Sony 8x DVD+R (YUDEN000T02)
Verbatim 8x DVD+R (MCC 003}
All 3 are decently priced.....well within my range. My question, if you will......which is better? Better meaning, as far as anti-encryption and being able to play nice with all the DVD burning & ripping programs? Or doesnt that matter?
All three are good enough that the only differences you'll see in playback or compatibility depends on the software or media you use. I would buy the BenQ since it is the all around most praised burner on afterdawn.

Then BenQ it is. Quite honestly, Ive never heard of them before.....but the more I read, I have to admit......they are highly praised. Thanks again for the info. =)
