I would like to know how to re-author a dvd movie and keep the main menu with the scene selecting and the subtitles as an option. Cause I would copy the whole DVD but I don't want shrink it to compressit so that I lose a good picture. So please help me how to re-author a DVD with what I was talking about above.

I found out that I need to use other programs to re-author the DVD.
Now I have IFOEdit and VOBrator. Right now I using VOBrator to analyze the DVD but I'm stuck. Is the VOBrator just used to view the each seperat file of the dvd and also it took me a coulpe of trys to get the whole dvd loaded in to the rator. Is that how my dvd is some .VOB file are ghost and there one VOB file that has a link to ever other VOB file on the disc.

This is my first reauthoring so I'm gonna need a lot of help

I just had an idea could I just use DVD Shrink to re-author the movie and select just the movie does the subtitles come with just the movie.

And I found out how to trun off subtittle using by DVD player directly and not through the movies (dvd) menu

I just finished burning a DVD with just the movie part and I viewed the movie and I was able to go to different chapters in the movie but the subtitles were not accessable to me. So now I trying to find the DVD file that has the subtittles.

Can any one tell me what that file is please ... thank you.

This is an edit:

I just found subrip but it rips subtitles form the DVD and I think yo edit them. What I want is to have the subtitle feature on the DVD movie, where I can turn that feature on and off.
