does burning games make the burned game lower quality then the original?

no the game quality will be the same as the original. you need to burn at 1X or 2X speed & use quality media to burn too. i personally have had problems backing up ps2 games to DVD+R so i always use DVD-R & have no problems.

i agree, i always use DVD-R in 8X speed.
I have had no luck with DVD+R
If you use quality media then you will get quality back ups
and there will be no difference, as far as quality, between
your back up and the original.
