since i can't seem to find the answer in the search here goes
I just wanted to know what the best store(walmart, kmart, target, etc)would be the best place to buy the best dvd-/+ discs?
also what is the best brand in your opinion?
i've heard alot about verbatim but haven't tried it yet but EVERY other blank cd/dvd brand has had at least 3 that messed up when i used them, thanks in advance and any help would be appreciated
and by the way i'm too impatient to order online even though it may be better
The best and easiest way is to just look here were you are at for the media sales of the week. Here is this weeks thread:
http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/291100 Ppl go thru and look at ads, and post what is out there for most in the USA. I don't even get a paper, but i know what the latest sales on media are, just by looking here. :)
Oh, and for your last part, my two favorite medias are Verbatim and Tayio Yuden. Tys can be found under Sony, Fuji, Maxell, if they are listed as Made in Japan on the package. Tys and Verbs are the best media out there with Tys getting a slightly higher rating for me. Stay away from Memorex and most off brand discs. Buying good media is just about the most important thing you can do to insure good quality copies.
Majority of my quality media is purchased locally, when on sale. All my media, excluding full hub inkjet printables is under 30 cents each. All you have to do is read those spindles for Made in Japan on the following brands:
Sony and fuji 8x in the plus format: Taiyo yudens- Yuden000-T02
Maxell +8x: Maxell-002-00- made by Hitachi
Verbatim: Made in taiwan or singapore is very good.
Walmart has some japanese sony tys,but cost more. It's a great store to price match the other stores like Staples/Office Depot/Office Max/and best buy. Those are my main sources for ty and hitachi media.
Kmart has sales every now and then on Fuji so definitely look for the japanese spindles.
Lots of riteks for the taiwanese sony/maxell/and some fuji.Office Depot 8x speed media is made by ritek. This weeks sale has Office Depot media for 25 cents each.I've gotten them for 20 cents each before.

I avg 3 bad discs in 9 months +.
This includes some cmags and aml discs that were given to me. No problem burning, but stand alone players didn't like them as well as the quality media.
What's your:
Burner model and number?
How fast you burn them?
Programs you using?
How did they mess up?
Were they burn errors or playback issues?
