My dad purchased it for me to use for university since I do film editing and use finalcutpro/premiere. Anyways since I have no knowledge of camcorders I was wondering if this is a good buy and these specs are good enough for my needs. Also if theres any cameras out there that have better specs and a better camera for the same cost i'd like to know because I hate knowing that I have somthing that I could of better for the ammount of cash was spent.

Anyone based in the US, £249 = $444
