I found a way, and it worked for me with no problems was using DVDDecrypter, PGCEdit and NeroRecode (Recode is my shrinking program of choice).

1. Copy movie to HardDrive with DVDDecrypter
2. Load movie in PGCEdit with PSL2Plugin v2.14 to clean your infected
Arcoss/RipGuard Files
3. Load cleaned files into NeroRecode, compress and burn

Voila!!! A working copy

probably could have but the rental copy has been returned, so unfortunately i cant.
really though, you dont need to see what pgcedit removes because, unlike vobblanker where you have to know what needs to be taken out, pgcedit will do it all for you without having to fiddle with any of the file structures.
make sure though that you have the PSL2 Plugin extracted in the PGCEdit
plugin folder (you have to manually make the folder and it should look like this: C:\Program Files\PgcEdit\plugins).

this guide was created by jmet for MADAGASCAR but i've used the same steps for FP

1st, used DVDFabDecrypter- version 2.9.6.8 - ripped to hard drive (FREE)

2nd, then used DVDShrink - shrunk it so it would fit on a regular sized DVD - but with shrink it will auto burn w/ Nero, so step #3 will now be done for you automatically. (FREE)

3rd, then used Nero to burn - use the burn engine of your choice - Shrink will auto burn w/ Nero or if you use CloneDVD2 to burn the disk, you still need to shrink it first so it will fit on one disk.

1,2,3,--- worked 100%, EVERYTHING

thanks TheBox. I got her done using your strategy.

1) I ran DVD Decrypter on it with Any Dvd running in the background.



2) then I used PgcEdit with the special PSL2 plug-in to remove the Arccos crap from the movie. The PSL2 plug-in worked very smoothly and after it's done the wizard sends it to Shrink for compressing.

but i never used AnyDVD in the background with DVDDecrypter. just used DVDDecrypter then right to PGCEdit.
and as for my strategy, the real thanks for figuring this out would go to jmet.

glad that you were able to back up the movie flightplan you are using to many steps the best programs to use are shrink and dvd region+cssfree running in the backround will be able to handle anything out there right now also as you know that you are able to back up the dvd's that you own. but as you posted (probably could have but the rental copy has been returned) what you said there is not allowed here you can anly talk about the back up's that you do of the dvd's that you own. do you understand?
