PS2 Video Playback Problems

I have the slimline PS2 and recently have had problems watching movies. During the movie it will start to freeze up for a few secs and skip here and there. I thought it was a dirty DVD or something but all my discs do it. Any help???

Only advice i can give is to get a stand alone DVD Player
They work much better for movies than the PS2 Slimline
My old PS2 played them fine. But the Slimline i have will play some fine and other will will do just what yours does.
I stick the same movie in the DVD player and it plays just fine.
Not sure what it is with some Slimline's, but they just do not
do well with movies. Yet all of the games still play with no problem.
