My Tv guide say's no info available. have reset and still no guide. what is wrong???

More info than you'll probably ever want to know. The thread began as a discussion of U99 errors, but there is a voluminous amount of information regarding the TV Guide usage (e.g. download sequences, debug screens, host channel, channel ordering, cable box problems with TV Guide, cable operator problems with the TV Guide ....etc.)

I have several posts on the other thread (although I am by no means the most informed poster). I had read that thread before I purchased my DVR's (when the thread was only a handful of pages). I knew going in that I would have to perform the firmware upgrade and that I might not want to use the TV Guide (EPG). So, I was not too disturbed or disappointed when I decided to disable the EPG download. I have not had a single problem (e.g. U99 error) from my DVR's since August when many others missed recording all kinds of programs through September and into October.

I have basic (I mean really basic) cable, but no cable box. There was at least one poster on the other thread who indicated that the set up menu does not permit you to disable the EPG download if you inform the unit you have cable and a cable box, but I have not personally attempted to verify the veracity of that information. Anyway, if you choose to continue trying to use the EPG you'll have a lot of resources and posters to draw from on the other thread. Good luck.
