Both stores look good, however, the one store offers free UPS ground shipping that makes them a little less expensive overall. Thank you for the quick response.

One more question to add. Is lightscribe media and thermal printable media the same thing? I'm looking into both ink jet and lightscribe.
Thanks

Both are excellent choices ... My BenQ DW1640 gets slightly better scans with the Taiyo Yudens

But my set top LiteOn recorders like the Verbatims more ...

short anwer... "NO".

long answer..

you first need to have a lightscribe enabled burner. then you would need to get the lighstscribe media.. and that is made my HP and Verbatim.. ONLY BUY Verbatim.

thermal printables... you need a thermal printer, and those arent cheap..

i do lightscribe and inkjet printables.. been doing inkjet lately on my r300.
i do have LaCie burner for my Lighscribe..
best buy has sales every few weeks on the lightscribe media.. a 10 pack of dvds will run you for 7.99 on sale. regular price is twice that. but if you go to wall-mart, they have the same 10 pack for 11.00 (regular price).

the cdr lightscribe media is $20 for a pack of 30 discs..

hope that helps..

Thank you thelox714, I really didn't know the difference until I read your explanation. I do think that lightscribe is the best way to go for me. The Epson 300 uses six different ink catridges and I assume they will probably break the bank. Thanks again.

Generic Epson 6 ink cartridges run you about $18. If you're just printing on the dvd, you can print around 250-300+ dvd's. If you're doing covers also, It's just over 100 for both. At least that's around what I have been getting.

Hopefully that link will work?

Quality ink! Take those empty cartridges back to staples and get $3 vouchers-per cartridge- for future purchases there!
