Hello all,

I downloaded a movie 4.32 GB in size from a torrent site, and now having much trouble burning it to a DVD. I have read all of the above posts, and am still having trouble, so please bare with me.

When I downloaded the film, it all saved to a Video_TS file, with .VOB files, 3 .BUP files, and 3 .IFO files.

Using Nero Vision Express 3, I imported all the .VOB files and .IFO files (and even many variations, one at a time, no .IFO's ect.) and the project ended up being 4.9 GB, bigger than what was even downloaded....

so to cure this problem, I tried cutting out some clips and tried to burn one full disc (approx. 4BG) then saved the rest to a second project.
Well when I went to burn the first project (4GB) it wouldn't let me burn it, because it said "there was not enough space in specified folder used for its temp files.

so I went ahead and tried to burn the second and smaller project, and it burned sucessfully, but then when I went to play it, it had no sound. I know this video has sound because I have watched it on a couple media programs on my computer.

so... I am really hoping I can get some help on this matter. I have opened this whole folder in Windows Media Player and it opens with all its chapter, the menu screen works (can click a certain chapter and it will go there.) but I can't burn it using that program.

so, I have heard Nero is great, but why won't it let me do this? why is the movie bigger than what was downloaded? why was there no sound when I burned that small part? why and how would I change the temp files folder?

any help would be great.
thanks in advanced.

I am using windows XP, a I/O Magic external dvd=-rw/=-r dual format double layer burner, Nero Start Smart... with nero vision express, nero vision 6

That being the case. Those files are already dvd video. Your best bet is use recode not vision express.

If the files = 4.32 like you said then you dont even need to use recode. You can just select dvd video option in burning rom and put all the files under video_ts and burn.

You don't need Nero Vision Express... just go to Nero Express and click on the Mave DVD Video option. Select the Video_TS folder and Nero will do the rest. Good luck!
