Hi Everyone I'm new here and hope you can give me some good info.
I own an Epson R300 printer and started buying printable DVD's, and labeling my DVD's that way instead of the paper labels. I've been using the software that came with the printer but it seems to be limited in some respects. What other software is there and what do you recomend? Is the Sure Thing software any good?

Thanks
Rich

Yeah, what else do you want?
The software takes a little learning, as far as printing to hub, or printing to center. Also adjusting the image to fit just right requires you to take it easy and fine tune a little. It took me several days to figure it out, but I get excellent results now.

Also, check here for very good ink for your Epson, at a VERY good price.

private.abacus24-7.com/(ekznl5qxlvrqzfemvc5qfgjs)/driver.aspx?topic=singleProduct&pid=11304

Copy and paste the address. When I put the http at the beginning, it cuts off part of the address (too long I guess), in the post, and goes to a different page.
Good luck!

I second the abacus referral... I usually get my art from customcdlabels.com or hirescovers.com and usually only need to occasionally resize with the Epson software. If you are looking to make your own custom art, try this:

http://www.freeserifsoftware.com/software/PhotoPlus/default.asp

Then just export as a jpeg and use the Epson software to print it...

The software in my previous post allows you to just about anything! Comparable software (Adobe Photoshop, etc) can be expensive... Check it out! It definitely won't leave you lacking for any features (merging, cloning, layering, etc), and it's free. About once a month, they may email you advertising their other software products at a discounted price, but all you have to do is "opt out" for future mailings... (Or just register with a yahoo or hotmail address...)

I already own and use "Adobe Photoshop CS2" and I'm pretty good at it. I didn't realize or think that I can use that to to create labels. Is this correct?

I strongly recommend SureThing; I have used it for years. This program does it all and is easy to use.

Thanks everyone ... I did download the free trial of Surething..Going to give it a try. So far I have played around with it and it seems pretty nice but haven't try to print from it yet.
