DVD playback issues with BenQ 1620 Pro

I have some DVD discs (DVD-ROM, not burned) which seems to freeze during playback at a certain position, sometimes at the root menu it freezes when I select a song. However, when I use DVD shrink to transfer the file and play it back using the same software (Cyberlink PowerDVD), it plays fine and smooth...

I already enabled DMA but to no avail (well it did get a little more responsive but the root problem is still around)...

When it freezes, after about ~15-30 secs it'll magically resume playback...

I can play the DVDs properly in my other computer.

What might be the problem here?
