NO matter what software you use you are going to hav teh quality reduced. YOu are talking about compression, almost a 2:1 ratio. Honestly, what were you expecting. Skipping it usually due to media issues. I've never had one of my backups skip and I use shrink all the time. You can also reauthor.

do you remember 321 platinum version, well it gave a superb compressed look to the dvd that was copied.Quality was very good, well CloneDVD does the same even though you are using compression to get a dvd 9 onto a dvd 5

So a 60% compressed DVD done w/ Clone is better than a 60% DVD done w/ Shrink. But is a 50% Clone DVD better than a 60% Srhink? And what was the compression that it started looking not so good? 40%?

each project is different and has to be judged differently but i do think that CloneDVD ver2 does do a better job than shrink

Where does Recode fit into this equation...being an improved version of DVD Shrink?

apart from it being easier to use with encoded avi's it doesnt.I like recode but it really isnt superior to clone when your talking about quality but it is when your talking about application diversity.....
