When I try to backup any of my DVDs it says that it's unable to read from the DVD and says to "unlock" it using a dvd player. I've opened it watched a few seconds of the movie and closed it. then retried the program. It still didn't work...I tried again without closing the program...tried again while having the movie running....tried again while having the movie paused...I'm at my wits end...can anyone shed a little light on my problem please??

Oh btw...I've tried xilisoft dvd ripper, IMTOO dvd ripper, and xilisoft dvd ripper 2.0.52

im not sure what you are trying to do . you can use dvd fabdecrypter from http://www.dvdidle.com to get the movie to your hard drive and process with what ever program you are using . or you can try anydvd from http://www.slysoft.com/en/ . anydvd has a free trial of i think 21 days . anydvd works in the backround and will not copy your files for you . it only decrypts allowing your dvds to be copied with other software . you will still need a program to compress your movie once you have decryped it . let us know what software you have been using and we can be more help .


dvdfabdecrypter can be found on dvdidle by scrolling down to the bottum of the page on that site and it is under free stuff .
