DVD Plays Back Too Fast

I've just copied a DVD using Easy DVD to DVD Copy. First I burned it onto my hard drive then used my LG External 16X DVD/CD Rewriter to copy it from my hard drive onto a TDK DVD RW 4.7GB disc.

When I attempted to play it in my DVD player it sped through the DVD and went back to the menu. No real picture, only frames, and minimal sound (only a word or two).

Then I attempted to burn directly from the DVD to the Rewriter. Same problem when I tried to play it back. I am to the point of tears. I've read and READ AND READ through these &(*^%$$^* forums and still can't figure out what to do. Is there anyone who would be kind enough to help a stressed out dummy?
