I have searched for an answer to this, but I'm not sure it's around. I currently use an IBM Thinkpad 600X P3, 384 MB, and 30 GB HDD. I'm running a clean install of Windows XP Pro (SP1a). When attempting to use DVDXCOPY through my Pioneer DVR-105 (USB 2.0 Enclosure), the process begins perfectly, but then suddenly hangs and stops responding. After this happens I noticed that the drive is no longer recognized and I have to reboot my laptop, as well as the drive enclosure.

Does anyone have any idea why this is happening? All drivers are up to date and my version of DVDXCOPY is 1.4.1. (I also made sure that Norton AntiVirus and other system-intensive hogs are not running) Thanks ahead of time!!
