I've noticed this problem happening a lot recently - in fact, it occurs all the time now.

No matter what I'm playing, whether it be a DVD, a .avi or other file format, AND with whatever media player, something wrong always happens. After a little while of playback it starts slowing down and skipping and getting out of sync...it happens with every thing I try and play.

My sound and graphics drivers are all up to date. I'm not keeping any un-needed programs running in the background.

Because it happens with every video file and format I have, and with every media player I have, I can only imagine it has something to do with my PC or hardware...but as I said, my hardware is all up to date as far as I know.
Any help?
