finally i succed to burn a dvd in a disc format
but it's quality is very poor
i hardly can play it ,skeep chapters and frezz the picture
let me explain what i am doing to burn my dvds
1.-i use dvdfabdecripter and save my copy into the hard drive(file 1)
2.- i open the file with dvd shrink3.2 , some times i can do it some times don't, then save this copy in different file (file 2).
-at this point even if i shrink the (file1) the dvd software
in my computer(intervideo dvd7)can't open the movie file.
3.-from my (file 2) i make the finall copy to a dvd disc.
some friends told me that i can put my copy in iso file
and is easier but i am not familiar with that tool.

what i can do to solve this problem or let me know if i am doing
something wrong trough the process.

When you use iso image it reads and rips as a whole and can solve some structure issues. I recommend it. Use shrink and it will make your iso's for you. I just use shrink with AnyDVD. Easier than dealing with files that can or can't be opened by other progs.

most of the time, when backups barely play, skip chapters, freeze is due to cheap media.

quality media is a must use verbatim, taiyo yuden

also no multitasking during transfer to hard drive or burning

hi what version of fab decrypter are you using? i have express & cannot make an iso image with express.

try DVD Decrypter it is free (do a search in google for it)

to make an iso file open dvd decrypter
then at the top select mode - iso> read
then decrypt in the normal way

this will put an iso image on your hard drive (default c:)

then to burn off with DVD Decrypter select mode - iso> write
then click the button that you usually click to decrypt.

if the file needs to be shrunk - open DVD Shrink then click the file button (above open disc / open file tabs) on the file drop down menu you will see "open disc image" select this then find the iso image you created with decrypter on your hard drive and open the iso image. this will then analyse the image then once analysed click the back up key to make a file that has been shrunk (file 2)
you will then have a file which you can burn to disc.

i do not know why shrink works sometimes & not others, is this happening on different movies or the same movie? some of the latest movie have copy protection that can cause all sort of problems for shrink. what movie are you trying to back up? i also cannot understand why the files will not play on your pc.

what program are you using to burn your discs? as you may not be burning it off correctly.

also what media are you using as some of the cheaper media can cause problems.
give us more info on what programs you are using, what you are trying to back up & media brand you are using & maybe i can offer some solutions.

Sounds like a burning and media issue to me. Out of curiosity, what kind of media/blank did you used to burn? And how fast?

WARNING: Do not "update/upgrade" your SAMSUNG BD-D5XXX series (Bluray Player), or else you cant enjoy any of your movie files.
