i have recently bought a dms4 mod chip ... is it to anyones belief that when ps3 comes out that it will work to some exstent on the ps3 ....if any at all.. also will there be a way to have a hd on it and will the ps3 play ps1 games??? because if it wont .. that would tottalyy suck ass!

we don't know enough about the ps3 as of yet. However:

1. The ps3 will probably (very likely) not support any ps2 chips. This is because the insides of the ps3 will be entirely different to the ps2.
2. The ps3 may support a hdd (kinda likely)
3. The ps3 will probably play ps1 games (very likely) because they are previous gen console games, just like how it will play ps2 games.

Actually it's not just "very likely", it's 100% likely. It's completely different hardware, it's just like trying to put a bluray disc to a vhs device.
