Widescreen is the one where the picture is contained withing black boundaries right?

I backed up The Ring with DVDFAB free. Then i squeezed it to a DVDR with shrink. I burnt it with shrink, and now when i play it, its fullscreen!

It was supposed to be widescreen as the original dvd was!

What's wrong here?

Does the disc have wide-screen and full-screen playablities? If so, then I would say you ripped and burned the wrong movie.

I found the same thing. The movie is a widescreen movie that doesn't have fullscreen format on the DVD. I have had this with three movies they tend to be older Widescreen i.e. "Room With a View", "English Patient". After DVD Shrink the movies on a Widescreen TV play with a box in a box. The inner box being the correct format but not filling the screen. If you play the original pre DVD Decrypter movie it plays correctly and fills the widescreen.

I would like to know how do you rip this movie with DVD Decrypter/DVD Shrink and get it to play like the original.
