I am a newbie to using this program. If I don't know what to blank out or cut out, do i just put in an input folder, output folder then hit process? Will the program do anything if I don't do anything else.

dvdman06,
Welcome . You make the input folder the movie you decrypted and just put or make a folder on the desktop and call it Vob'd Movies. Now make Vob'd Movies the output folder in VobBlanker and hit process. Then point Shrink at the Vob'd Movies folder and it will process accordingly

If you choose the input and output folders and process the files, VOB Blanker will blank out the obvious bad sectors. If you want the FBI Warning or any other crap taken off, then you'll have to do it manually. I've only tried VOB Blanker once, but it definately is a great little free program.

I most cases (not all) all you should have to do is to specify input folder and output folder locations, then just process the files.

Rip the files to your HDD using DVD decrypter or DVDFab

input folder: browse to where decrypter or DVDfab put the files and choose the VIDEO_TS.IFO file

output folder: Choose a folder location (create a folder on the desktop and name what ever you want, put a sub folder in it and call it VIDEO_TS), have the output folder location point to this VIDEO_TS folder.

Once vobblanker is done just open those files with shrink (use open files tab), browse to the VIDEO_TS folder, highlight it and choose open. Use shrink as you normally would there after, for best results try and re-author the movie.

Thank you for your help. If I were to re-author it would it take a lot longer then if i were to just backup?

dvdman06,
It should take less time as the computer is not having to compress as much Data

Yup, re-author would be much shorter. The time it takes and the compression are almost directly related to each other.

VobBLanker, PgcEdit combo PSL2 plugin + FixVTS, DVDFAB Decrypter, DVD Decrypter and DVD Shrink are definitely 5 of the most useful FREE tools available. Regardless if it's RipGuard or ARccOS, they can bypass those craps/junks easily, it's always 100% success.

** Here's how to use VobBLanker 2.1.0.0

maddog920 - Most of the time, I use either DVD Shrink or CloneDVD while running AnyDVD in the background. I haven't had any problems using this method. However, I do like to test out other different methods as well. It's a learning experience for me.
