Hey ppl..

My 160gb hardisk has crashed n I have about 60 gig data which is not backed up.. Apart from sending the hardisk to a professional recovery firm like ontrack.. can i personally do somthing about it ??

That would depend on why it crashed. if the disc is damaged, there's not much you can do, but if it's a mechanical failure, you could try using this guide : http://www.hackaday.com/entry/1234000840067578/
