For some reason whenever I'm encoding a movie my computer just shuts down. It usually happens 1/4 of the way in. Its not my D drive because I can still watch movies. I tried deleting shrink and reinstalling it but that didn't help. Thanks for your help in advance.

Could be a few things. Shrink is very cpu intensive so no mutli tasking. Keep as much ram free as possible.You could be over heating. How are your fans? You may need to clean them out - they get pretty dusty. You can also try blowing a fan in there- cool things down.
Maybe a registry conflict - try a registry cleaner.

I've also heard that low power can do that, I'm not too sure though.

Problem fixed for now. I got a can of dust off and I air blasted my fans and then I tried again and it worked. Thank You

@Alcas74
Not a problem - those fans get pretty dusty! In fact that reminds me I have to clean mine.

Same way I stated above. Buy a can of dust off.

Sounds easy so ill just use the can of dust off for cleaning the fan. I'm going to replace one of the fans with a different fan so ill be ok in the meantime. I'm still customizing my computer so it feels it has some sentimental value already.
