I read in another thread the the best DVD's to use are - Verbatim, Taiyo, Yuden, Maxell & Fuji. I am in Australia and I can not seem to find any of these brands to be available here. I have seen Verbatim around but only sold as single disks. Are there any fellow Aussies out there who can recommend either where I can purchase them or what is a really good brand down under. Thanks heaps.

@lauzzie

Hey mate :)

now these are manifacturers names not exactly brand names. When u purchase a pack of blank DVD's the way u find out what manifacturer made the media is by using this program and if it is TY's and Verts ur sweet :)

ur best bet is to go to computer fairs or markets and buy them bulk, in spindle packs.

Good Luck and Keep me posted...

This would mean I would actually have to purchase the disks first in order to take them home and test them. Couldnt I end up with packs and packs of duds.

Went to all the stores and the only disks I could find were TDK's. They had plenty of no-name brands that I had never heard of and the only Verbatims I could find were sold separately not on a spool. I will keep searching.
